Busy Week

I have had a busy week. On Sunday I went to church and hung out with David on Sunday. The preschoolers kept me busy. They are sweethearts and I love working with them!! David also met Steven.

Monday morning I went cycling. I'm not sure how far I rode mile wide because the trip computer on my bike is broken. I am guessing that it was about 25 miles. It was a nice ride. I rode with my dad and some of his cycling buddies. The only wildlife that I saw was a field mouse that ran right in front of our group and was hit by one of the cyclists about three bikes up from me. We went to the office for a few minutes in the afternoon. I can't remember what else I did in the afternoon. David came over for dinner, we went out for a bit, and also hung out for a while.

Yesterday, I had jury duty. It's all done now. All of the cases were resolved and they didn't need any jurors. There were a few people who were sent home to change because they were wearing shorts. It says right on the back of the summons no shorts! Oh well. There were also a few people wearing jeans, which isn't against the rules but I felt like it was disrespecting, especially if you were selected to appear before the judge. I brought my Bible with me to read. I happen to sit next to another believer. We were started talking because she saw me reading my Bible. I was able to share some Bible verses with her. I was excited about getting to share His word!

My mom just sent me this article about a juror who was assigned by a judge to write a five page paper and spending 4 days observing court cases (instead of sending him to jail) after he skipped out on jury duty. Then when the paper was read they discovered that this guy plagerized and the judge ordered him to spend an additional day in court and rewrite the 5 page paper.

Last night I had band pratice. We are playing for a 9/11 memorial. It's the same music that we play each year for it and most of it I played when I was in high school. I used to be a member of the community band but in the past few years I have had too much on my plate and had to drop a few things. I will still help them out when they need it. The flute section early and late in the season tends to be low because the snowbirds have either haven't come down or have already gone North. I was happy with my sound considering I haven't picked up my piccolo once since last year's memorial service and that was for the HS Alumni Band game and picked up my flute maybe once or twice just to play for a few minutes.

Tonight, my grandparents are coming in town and we are all going out to dinner. I'm not sure what else I'll be doing. I'll probably spend time with them before they head to the hotel for the night.

Tomorrow will probably consist of scrapbooking and preparing for Friday night's crop. I think for the crop I am going to work on my pictures from the November Mississippi trip and the layout that I have been working on recently for one of my other albums. I also am getting ready to print more pictures. I wasn't intending on printing some of these pictures quite yet but there are some new pictures that I want printed so I guess I'm going to go ahead and get those printed so I can get the new pictures printed to scrap them.

I am working on my blog and resetting it up, so once I get that taken care of I'll post some new pictures of the layouts that I have created recently.

I need to get going. Love to all!

-Jenn
