Scanner

My new scanner came in yesterday! I bought the HP Scanjet 4890. It can scan slides, 35 mm negatives, and the large format negatives. I think my mom is just as excited about me getting the scanner. She has pictures that she needs to scan. Plus I can scan negatives from when I was younger and scrapbook them without having to worry about scrapping the originals. My mom can also get dupes of them too. I am in the process of installing the scanner right now. Mocs likes the new set up. She has been up on the desk a few times now since moving the shorter stand next to it. My other scanner is older and it couldn't scan negatives.

Had a wonderful morning with my boyfriend. We went out for breakfast.

I may get some scrapping done tonight depending on how far I get in to scanning.

Love to all!

Jenn

Can you scan APS negatives? Or just 35mm? If you can do APS I may need to come visit you ;)

How awesome about the scanner. I have that exact one too. It works great. I haven't tried negatives yet. Since all my pics are digital now, I don't really have any negatives. Maybe I'll have to dig some out.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say...TAG! You're it!

I'm not sure if I can scan APS negatives Elizabeth. I'll look in to it for you.

I've liked it so so far Sooz. I haven't scanned any 35mm negatives yet but I have scanned slides. I've have some difficulties scanning some of the darker slides but other than that I really like it. You tell them to scan them all, it scans each slide and saves it to a folder. After that all I have to do is move them to the correct folder where my pictures are and they are all set. No need to have to save each one after scanning them. If they are too dark during the preview the scanner won't scan & save them so you don't have to go through deleting files either!!
