Last Night

I don't have much time to post this morning but I had to share what happened. Last night, after the softball game was finished David came over. We were playing cards and Britt hopped up on the table. She was watching some bugs that had gotten in the apartment when we opened the door. She was watching them so intently that when David moved the hat that was sitting on the table it spooked her so bad. She hopped up in the air and backwards. She kept her eyes on the hat the entire time she started walking backwards. She stopped at the edge of the table. When David decided to knock the hat towards her again, she hopped a mile in the air again and hopped right off the table. Too funny. He spooked her a couple of other times with the hat too. It kept her from hopping up and down from the table. When she did hop up she'd keep her eyes on that hat and didn't want to get close to it. :)

Oh yeah, I can't even tell you the score of the softball game because I didn't watch it. I was playing with some of the kids that were there from the church. I forgot to ask David the score.

Other than scaring the cat, we played cards (Uno) for a while last night, and then we went on a walk. If I had to guess we walked close to 5 miles. It felt nice just getting out and walking. Boy were my feet sore by the time we got back.

"My Savior My God" by Aaron Shust (one of my favorite songs) is on the radio right now. Once it's done I've gotta get going. Have a great day!

Scrapbooking and Sports

I got to scrap for a few minutes last night before I was zonked and went to bed. I did complete one of the layouts I had been working on for a while. I was glad to finish that layout. I just couldn't get the second page the way I wanted and it all came together last night!

I'm off to a softball game tonight. My church has a softball team and a couple of my friends are on the team.

The FSC Baseball season is coming to a close. Hopefully the defending NCAA Div. II National Champs will be selected for regionals. Right now they are ranked #4 (through 4-26) in the NCAA Div. II South Region. Since it doesn't look like they will be conference champs (Tampa's #1 in the conference and also in the region) they won't have an automatic bid to regionals. There's still a few more games left in the season.

Have a great evening!

It's done!

I'm through with my application for the mission's trip!! I tried filling the application out a while ago and was overwhelmed. I don't know why because it's not that big of a deal. Well it turns out that I was filling out the wrong application. So when I started filling out the group one tonight and it was done after a few pages instead of umpteen million I was like wow. Then I realized that I must have been filling out the individual application before. I'm going with a group from my church and we have already been approved through our church and so the mission's organization didn't need quite as much information from the applicants.

Zach & Kyler came over tonight to see Princess. She growled and ran!! That surprised both my mom and I because she's always so friendly to strangers. She did let them pet her for a few seconds but didn't want to get too close.

Not much else going on. Since it's only 8:45 I'm going to sit down and scrap. I'm not sure what yet but I'll probably complete the los that I have been working on recently.

Night!

Yeah

Yeah! Today VZ (Verizon) should be done setting our lines up in a hunt group at the office. We just got our new telephone system installed last week. It's great because we have voicemail functions & we can transfer people to voicemail boxes if the person they want is not in the office and wants to leave voicemail. Also, we have the cool music on hold feature where we can tie it in to a radio station of our choice. We are also remodeling our office and will be getting new carpet installed soon. We moved all of our desks in what we used as a conference room when we needed one because we need more show floor space. The electrician is here doing work.

I'll get to see Kyler & Zach later on this week when their dad brings them over to see the kitty. They owned the sweet thing before they gave her to us. Kyler (who is 3) asks about her when he sees either my mom or I at church. I miss babysitting them so any chance I get to see them I take it. :)

My support is going well for the mission's trip this summer. I will get an actual amount that I have raised in the next week or so...sometime after the 1st of May. I have an estimated amount based on what people have told me. I know I'm close or past the halfway point. I need about $1400. The Lord has already blessed us by providing our tickets (for the team I am on) at about $400 less than what they have been listed at recently. That in itself is a HUGE blessing! I need continued prayer that the financial support that myself and other team members (for all of the teams) need come in. Our church is sending multiple teams to multiple locations this summer. It's exciting to see what the Lord has had our church do!

David has been over since Britt spazzed out the other day. She still freaks when he walks in the door but she's out and about in less than a minute. She also seems to be feeling a lot better!!

I have been scrapbooking a little. I'm looking forward to National Scrapbook Day and getting to scrap since I don't have to be at church for the Upward Basketball program (this Sat is the last day of the season). I've had a scrapper's block for months and I'm just coming out of it. I'll post some of my los soon.

Foam Stamps

Last week, I found some MM (Making Memories) foam stamps that matched the font of the MM Velvet letters that I got last month on clearance. I was really excited because I could finish the layout I have been working on for the past couple of weeks because I was was missing one letter for both of the words I wanted to put on the lo. Yesterday the stamps were scheduled to arrive. When I opened the package, much to my surprise, the letters were huge!! I won't be able to use them on the particular lo I was planning on using them on but I love the font itself. I'll have to see if I can incorperate them in the layout but because of space limitations I probably won't be able to.

Shaking my head

I'm still shaking my head. David came over yesterday and Britt was scared out of her mind. She couldn't find a hiding spot fast enough. After about 10 minutes she came out but still didn't want to go close to him. Weird cat.

I had a great day yesterday. Both church & College & Career (Bible study group) were excellent! In my small group we just finished up the book of Galatians. At church we were in the book of 1st Timothy. All good stuff. :) Since the format of small group has been changed it has been a lot easier for me to go and I look forward to going. Before it was so hard because during our prayer request time we would be together as a group. That was hard for me because people would come and go and there were constantly new people attending. Due to things that happened a while ago makes it hard for me to trust anyone especially when it came down to requesting prayer for specific things going on in my life. Now we break up in to small groups and it's the same core people in my group every week. Thank you Josh for changing that! Two months later I am finally getting to know the people in my small group and starting to trust them.

Not much new is going on here. Just another day. It's time for me to go...I'm cooking dinner tonight. Have a great evening!

Rare moment

Rare moment for my kitties. For two kitties that don't want anything to do with anyone else they both came out while David was over the other night. Brittaney hopped up quite a bit for him to scratch her. She even curled up on his lap! I had to take a picture of it because she doesn't even sit on my mom's lap. Mocs came out towards the end but as soon as we got up she went right back to her shelf and hid.
