My Savior, My God

My Savior, My God is on the radio right now. A great song by Aaron Shust. Click on the song and it'll bring you to the page with the full song on it and then click on number 3 to listen to it. One of these days I would like to go see him in concert.

My pictures from my trip are being developed right now and should be done by the time I'm ready to go babysit and I can go pick them up as I'm heading out.

I'm back and it's a few hours later. I realized that I missed a whole section of photos that I want printed so it looks like I'll do that later this week depending on my time. I have a bunch of pictures to go ahead and start on my scrapbook. I'm not sure where I want to start or what size scrapbook that I want to do it in. David found this really cool scrapbook store in the area and took me there Sat. morning. They had really neat London paper. The only thing is that it's 12x12 paper and none of it can be reduced without totally messing up the paper. If I decide to do 12x12 then I'll definately get it. Chances are that I'll do a 12x12 album because of the number of photos I have. :)

Sorry not much of an update but it's late, I need to spend personal time in the Word, and I'm getting up early to run. Have a great day tomorrow!

In Christ,

Jennifer

Busy

Restore to me the joy of Thy salvation, and sustain me with a willing spirit. Then I will teach transgressors Thy ways. And sinners will be converted to Thee. - Psalms 51:12-13 NASB

Where has the time gone? It's already the end of July and I have been home for nearly a month. I got to babysit the boys last night! It's hard to believe that Kyler will be turning 4 next month! I remember when he moved up to the toddle room at church!! Zachy is jabbering up a storm. We played on their porch for a while since we couldn't go outside and play because everything was still wet from the rain earlier in the day.

Good evening everyone

I pray that all is going well for everyone! I'm doing alright. My knee has been bothering me this week and I have been unable to go running. I have gotten out and walked instead. I pray that it feels better as the triathlon is in 10 days. I also need to get my bike off the trainer and cleaned up. Which looks like it may happen tomorrow.

My dad had his doctor's appt today. A friend of the family who worked alongside of my grandpa when he was practicing medicine recommended that he go see the PCP just to have him checked out since the county EMS didn't Bayflight him (as is requried by policy with someone with a head injury). Doc agreed with the friend's request of an MRI just to make sure there is no hidden damage. So, my dad will be going in Monday for his MRI. Please pray for him!

I got my hair trimmed tonight so my bangs are finally out of my eyes (yeah). My hair is still long enough so I can pull it back for running and the triathlon. No, I didn't dye it any sort of colors like I threathed on my away message on IM. :P

Tonight, during my Bible study, in the book "To Live is Christ", Beth Moore said something that stood out to me. "God's will is always best even when we cannot imagine how." I reflected on past events in my life and thought about how true that is. We may not understand why things happen the way they or the timing of things do but they always happen how God has them planned. It's hard being patient and waiting on God's timing. That's something that I have been struggling with a lot recently. His time is not our time and His ways are not ours. Also, I don't want it to become something that I desire more than God. I know the Lord has everything planned and it will happen in His way and His time.

It's time for me to get going and get ready for some shuteye plus the critters are waiting for food. Have a great evening and God Bless!

Not much of a post...

I know yesterday's entry was not much of one. I was starting to post but then I got sidetracked. I'm not sure what I wound up doing. No telling. :)

I found running shoes yesterday!! I went running this morning and the shoes were fine. I got up at 6:30 and was out the door about 6:40ish. I ran & walked for about 30 minutes. Not much I know but baby steps (Fly Lady words) are good. I plan to increase a little each day. Although, I did run more than I walked which is good because it's usually the opposite for me when I'm first starting back up.

After I was done I spent more on rearranging my place. I took everything off of my big bookcase and cleaned the bookcase. I moved the book case to the other side of the room during my lunch break. After I put my shelves back on, I must not have put one of the on the clip really well because as soon as I put something on it, the shelf collapsed. I can't find one of the four clips. No telling where it is. Since I couldn't find it before I left for the office I'm sure one of my kittens has been playing with it. Tonight I plan on trying to find the piece for the bookshelf and finish putting books on it. I may also go ahead and take my bike off of the trainer and put it away so I have a little more space while I'm rearranging. Also, I am going to set up the second utility shelf now that my bookcase is moved and move my tv to there (which is now blocked by stuff from my closet and my bike on the trainer).

Story from last night: I moved Brittaney's dish to the hutch for the time being. I still don't know where I'm going to put it. She's a light eater. She'll eat a little, go off and do her thing, then go back and so on. I have to leave her food out so she can eat and I can't leave her food where Mocs can get it because Mocs will eat it in one inhale. She inhales her food and I'm surprised she doesn't get sick. Anyways, I filled up Britt's bowl and I was sitting by my hutch so I could type on my laptop because my computer hasn't been put back together yet. I left to go to Bible study. Both sides of the dish were fairly full with food. I get back from Bible study and the bowl was empty. I know Britt and she won't eat that much usually in a day but she likes her bowl full. Then I realized what happened. I left my chair by the hutch and Mocs used that to get to the bowl. I put the more food in the bowl before I went to bed and moved the chair across the room. In the morning it was empty again. Mocs is 17 lbs and can't jump that high...so I thought. I put more food in the bowl and go to take a shower. I get out of the shower and Mocs was up there muching away on the food. Mind you that I have already fed her that morning.

I need to get going. Have a great evening!!

Another day

It's amazing at how fast these days are going back. I've been home for 17 days! It doesn't seem like it's been that long.

Dad's doing well

My dad's doing well. He's moving around and went to the office today. We went down to Chainwheel Drive, he got a new helmet, and then we went to dinner.

No such trip to get running shoes. :( That may wind up happening tomorrow during lunch. My dad and I will be going riding later this week if he's feeling up to it. If I can manage to get to bed early tonight I'll get up and go running. It's 9:45 PM now and I'm going to try to be in bed by 10:30.

I have accomplished a lot here at home. I got the second utility shelf disassembled. The hutch has been moved against the wall and I cleaned it. I have most of the stuff put back in it. The stuff that's not in there I think won't be keeping. The kitties aren't too sure of everything. I have junk all over the place right now. Once it's all done it'll be nice. I'll spend another 15 minutes putting things away and call it a night.

Have a great evening!!

Not much accomplished

I didn't get too much accomplished after I finished the post yesterday. I'm going to spend the rest of today working on my closet. I need to put on my other tennis shoe and I'll be ready to go. I think during one of my breaks I may go hunting for running shoes.

I know I won't be able to do much rearranging my furniture because obviously my dad can't move or lift anything for a while. At least I'll have my closet done and I shouldn't have a problem disassembling the one of the utility shelves and moving it to my closet.

I have the rest of the day to do all of this since I don't have small group tonight and the debriefing meeting I had after church was cancelled. I've already had lunch and I'm all ready to start working again.

Tomorrow evening I'll take my dad down to Chainwheel Drive (that is if he feels up to it) so he can get a new helmet and then take him up to the Boy Scout meeting.

Have a great day everyone!

Today

Today my dad had a crash. Praise God he's okay! Even if he wasn't okay the Lord would be praised! He fell while riding his bike and hit his head hard. His helmet is cracked in multiple locations. Praise God he was wearing it! He doesn't remember the crash or a bit afterwards which is normal. His buddy was riding with him and they collided when making a turn. The paramedics were called and spent a few minutes with him and said that he was fine. My dad stayed at his friend's house for a few hours before coming home. He's doing well other than being sore. It's great how the Lord worked it all out. I was over at the house and my mom invited me to join her and a few Navy moms at Cracker Barrell for lunch. I was originally planning on going but then at the last minute I decided to stay at home and do things around the apartment. The Lord knew what was going to happen and arranged it for me to be home so I could stay with my dad until my mom got home.

The rest of the day I have spent going through boxes in my closet and am taking a short break to do this. I have managed to get rid of three garbage bags full of stuff so far and have a few boxes belonging to my mom and dad that I need to bring to their house. I want to rearrange the apartment again but I'm not sure how I want to. I know I want to move one of these utility shelves to the closet to give me some shelves in there. However, it will take away Moc's "hiding spot". I will move my hutch to where the utility shelves are now. My computer will move over to my desk (it's currently sitting on one of the shelves of the utility shelves). I would like to get a small fridge and start cooking here. The stove hasn't been used in years and we aren't sure if it even works at all. It's also probably time to take my bike off of the trainer so I can ride it on the street instead of in here. The cats spook out when I am on it. :)

The triathlon is three weeks from today. I'm getting excited. This is my third year. I am expecting my times to be better this year as I am about 30-35 pounds lighter this year compared to last year. The first two years the times were within minutes of each other. I did better on the run last year but the bike was a little worse. The bike route was also changed between year one and two and I think the course was a little bit longer last year which would make sense why my times were a little longer on the bike. I can't compare the swimming times because the timining chip didn't catch me between the end of transition and heading in the pool the first year so my transition & swimming times are mixed together. Yes, the swimming portion of the triathlon is in a pool. One of the reasons why I was willing to do it the first year was because I could see the bottom. :) The triathlon a reverse tri (run, bike, swim) so by the time people hit the swimming we are all spread out. I do need to get new running shoes as these are over a year old now and I use them for everyday use too. I have been looking for running shoes and haven't found any that I like and support my feet the way I like. I need to get them soon so I can break them in before the race.

I better get going so I can get this place straightened back up. It's quite a mess! Have a great evening!!

If only I knew...

If I only knew what was going to happen the past few days... Not something that I care to discuss on my blog. Anyways, the Lord has brought a wonderful, caring, awesome friend in to my life the past few months that I am able to talk to regarding everything. I praise God that He has brought this person in to my life. It has been hard for me to trust anyone with what's going on deep down because of what has happened in the past and even what is going on in the present. The Lord has used this person for me to be able to open up and share and I thank and praise Him for this.

Since coming back from London I have fallen behind in my Beth Moore devotional (not far). The Lord had his reasons for it because had I not been behind, what I learned last night, probably would not have had the same effect had I read this same thing last week.

Aaron Shust's song My Savior My God is on the radio right now. That is one of my favorite songs. I was just on his website and he'll be performing post-game at a Braves game on July 27th. If Atlanta wasn't so far away I would go in a heartbeat. Not to mention the game is in the afternoon on a weekday. My 2nd favorite baseball team (Florida Southern Mocs is my favorite) and one of my favorite Christian artists is a great combination.

Later on...
David came over for dinner. I was in my apt finishing my Bible study when David pulled in the driveway. Brittaney was sitting close to my feet and as soon as she heard his truck pull in the driveway she went running and then hopped up on the dining room table. When he didn't show after a minute she started looking at me and then back at the door and then back at me as if she was saying hey I know I heard his truck where is he.

Have a great night!

Printing Pictures

Hello everyone! I have been working on getting my pictures ordered from Snapfish. Most of which are pictures from my trip to London. I have a coupon for 9 cents a print that expires in a couple of days. I can't beat that price nor the time it would take for me to print all of the pictures that I want. If I forget a picture or decide that I want another it's not that big of a deal. I won't get them in time for the crop that I'm going to this Friday. It's hard to believe that I have been home for almost two weeks. I have remained very busy.

Tonight, I plan on sitting down and scrapbooking for a little bit and then probably clean (fun, fun). I have some new scrapbook paper (really cool baseball paper) that I found at the dollar store when I was visiting my grandparents last weekend. I also need to sit down and write about my trip and work on my Bible study devotionals. Plus I have to figure out what I am going to do at the crop so I don't have to lug everything. I have enough to keep me busy for the evening.

I found a cool display from rockyou.com to rotate my pictures on my blog. I may wind up using it on my website as well because it's about time to change my pages again. The latest two pictures I added to my blog were pictures of David and I making rice crispy treats and David and Princess. Princess has taken a liking to him. She curled up on his lap on Sunday for a bit and enjoyed playing with him too. I didn't get a picture of that because she got up when my mom walked in the room with the camera. We were bored on Sunday so we made rice crispy treats.

I didn't mention this before but after I got home from the trip I went out to dinner with David and my parents. I was home long enough to drop my luggage at home and then went out to eat. When David and I got back to my place, Brittaney completely ignored me but she was excited to see David and ran right over to him to be scratched. :) I know where I rank with that cat. LOL. Mocs still hides for the first bit and then will come out after a few minutes.

It was so good being home and being back at Riverside. The Sunday after I got back I tried to sleep in but failed tremendously when I woke up wide awake about 6 AM. That was even after I went to sleep somewhere between 1 & 2 AM. My body still thought it was 11 AM. I didn't go during the Sunday School hour because I had planned not to be there before the trip and had it arranged to have someone cover me. I was putzing around (mostly on the computer) and wound up being late for church. I left the house at 10:42 and church starts at 10:45. I think I arrived about 10:50 ish. So when I was back in my routine this past Sunday it was great. I missed the preschoolers while I was gone. I am very proud of the kids!! They know the Old Testament books through Psalms (they learned Psalms the 2nd Sunday I was gone). It was great getting to be with them again. We were busy on Sunday. We had a couple of stories to read to them, their craft, going through the books of the OT through Psalms, snack, and even a few minutes for them to play with the toys.

I scored some baseball tickets this afternoon. Our local Chamber of Commerce has season tickets and they give out tickets to the members of the Chamber. I haven't gotten tickets in a while (I know I haven't this season but I don't think I got any last season either) and so when I was there this afternoon I asked if there were any remaining for this season and Joe said yes. I got tickets for the day before my mom's birthday and I'm taking her to the game and I got tickets for the day after mine and I'm not sure who I'm going with for the second one.

You can tell it's summertime. We have had afternoon boomers I think all this week. I'm not complaining because we need the rain. The skies just opened up.

Have a great evening!

4th of July

Hello everyone! I pray that your Fourth of July went well! I was really busy yesterday. David and I went fishing at Howard Park early in the morning. Then we went by two 4th of July parties. One was a gathering for our friends who were leaving that evening for a mission's trip and the other was a party at one of my relatives homes. After the second party we went to the airport to see our friends off. On the way back home we stopped by a friend's house. I hadn't see the couple in quite a few months. They moved and is in the process of preparing their house for the market. Then after that we decided to go back to Howard Park for their fireworks display. While we were walking to the causeway we saw a waterspout!!

Busy busy day. I didn't have my camera all day and so I don't have any pictures to share. Sorry!! The waterspout would have been cool to catch on film!

Picture

This is us after we got home! As you can tell we were tired. We had
been up since 2 AM Florida time and it was almost 6 PM Florida time
by the time we got our luggage and met our friends and family that
were waiting for us. The skirt that I'm wearing in the picture is one
of the skirts that I bought at a market. For someone who didn't look
forward to wearing ankle length skirts I now have 7! They aren't
that bad. :) Thank you everyone that came to greet us at the airport!

Crazy Times!

Just to let everyone know we all made it home safe and sound! I remained busy that I really didn't have much time to blog what went on. I enjoyed my time over there but I was glad to come home. I look forward to sharing what went on while I was there. I learned a lot while I was there. I look forward to continue working with missions. I'm going to work on my experience on the trip and then I'll publish it here.

The group from my church got to spend an evening before we left with missionaries that we support. "L" told me that it was the first time in 13 years that any of their supporting churches has sent over teams to help with the organization that they are with!! "J" and "L" were very excited to have us there! "L" Shared her scrapbooks with me. She had an awesome Circle Journal that she participated in. Next time the group I'm in does a CJ I'm going to participate in it. I knew I was going to go on the mission's trip and wouldn't have the time in the months efore to participate.

While I was gone the carpet was replaced at the office. Later this week we will be having an open house. The cabinets are almost done. Tim's working on them right now.

Tomorrow is the 4th and I a have a day off. Nothing like returning to work for a day and then immediately having another day off. I am supposed to go fishing with David in the morning and then there are a couple of 4th parties that we will probably go to and then hang out for the rest of the day.

Have a great day and a fab 4th!!
