Scanner

My new scanner came in yesterday! I bought the HP Scanjet 4890. It can scan slides, 35 mm negatives, and the large format negatives. I think my mom is just as excited about me getting the scanner. She has pictures that she needs to scan. Plus I can scan negatives from when I was younger and scrapbook them without having to worry about scrapping the originals. My mom can also get dupes of them too. I am in the process of installing the scanner right now. Mocs likes the new set up. She has been up on the desk a few times now since moving the shorter stand next to it. My other scanner is older and it couldn't scan negatives.

Had a wonderful morning with my boyfriend. We went out for breakfast.

I may get some scrapping done tonight depending on how far I get in to scanning.

Love to all!

Stop Signs and Road Warts

Okay. There has been 3 sets of stop signs added in the road wart mess. All but one set of stop signs were well needed because of blind corners. The road warts are still a mess. I actually go over them better at 30 and/or 35 mph then the "recommended" 15 mph. To me I think they encourage speeders because the trucks can go over them better above speed then they can at (which is 25 mph) or below speed. It doesn't slow speeders down. Cars still speed down the road come to a complete stop to go over the wart and then continue speeding to the next one or a stop sign whichever comes next. Trucks can just go speeding down the road and not worry because the warts don't do anything. Oh well. It's now faster for me to go to Useless 19 and deal with the traffic there and not have to worry about any road warts.

Scrapping is going well. I have been busy scrapping most evenings this week except last night. Tonight, I plan to for a little. The Pampered Chef order arrived today so I have been busy sorting all of the guest orders and finding a place for my new stuff, which I have. I now need to find where I want to put the critter food because Britt will chew holes in the bag and allow Mocs to eat it all.

Have a great evening!

Love to all!

What a waste of taxpayers money!

The city council on a vote of 4-1 for $7,000 for 3 speed bumps on the road in between my house and my office. I have an Escape and am having problems and I went over the first one they installed today. My mom went over 1 in her little saturn and refuses to drive that road any more. I'm glad I don't have my mustang anymore because it would have bottomed out. My dad can't drive over them in his car. However, he can go over them in his truck at speed limit without feeling anything so they aren't going to do anything to slow the speeding. The ONE person who voted against it was our city mayor and he lives in the neighborhood!! The road they put it on is the ONLY road in and out of the neighborhood where you don't have to drive on Useless 19 (which the section is the deadliest in the United States) to go anywhere. I think what is more upsetting is that the city council members said they would try stop signs first (which is much, much better) before considering the speed bumps and they didn't. I guess it's good that they are the removable type.

Okay off my soapbox for the day. :)

I'm in the mood to scrap, scrap, scrap tonight!! :)

Love to all!

Saturday

Here are a couple new photos. The first being our first picture as a couple. We went cycling yesterday morning on the Pinellas Trail.

Yesterday afternoon I had a Pampered Chef party and afterwards Missy, Lisa, and I hung out. We went to the mall for dinner and to shop and went over to Target afterwards. We spent some time at the apt and Mocs at least didn't run from Missy this time. :) She's sitting on my table right now, as close to my computer as possible, watching Lisa and making sure Lisa doesn't come too close to her.
It's time to finish getting ready for church. Have a great day everyone!

Completed album

Well I have a new completed album. :) As I was rearranging my furniture I came across a 6x6 ABC's of Christmas swap that I did last year. I never did put it in to an album. I found a 6x6 album that I wasn't used and put all of the pages in it, so now I have a "new" completed album. :)

I'm going riding in the AM. I have a Pampered Chef party in the afternoon. My college roomie (well actually two of them) will be there but one of them I haven't seen since Nov 2001 so I'm really excited to see her.

Love to all!

Quick update

I'm not going to post much tonight. It's already late and I still need to do my Bible study as well as a few other things. First, David and I are dating. Second, I updated the pictures to the right. I removed some and kept some of my favorites. I added the most recent ones that I have shared on the previous posts and a new one that I haven't. Third, work's going well. No funny support calls that I can think of right now. Last, my apartment is not completly finished but it's getting there. I have the book cases and other shelves moved and stuff back on most of it. I do need to buy a couple more photo boxes to store more photos. I'll get them the next time they are on sale at M's. The other alternative is to go ahead and scrap the photos in them. :)

Like I said it's going to be a short post but I wanted to share the latest news. Have a great evening!!

Love to all!

Rearranging

I got a couple layouts completed last night. One of the pages took me the most and that was because the embellishments I made for it, I decided to ink the edges and so I had to take them apart and there were 18 of those little things to do and reassemble. It's okay cause I like how they look.

I got an insane idea to go ahead and start moving stuff here at like 8:00 or 8:30. It's now 10:07, I'm tired and I need to put everything back up. I moved my desk against the wall where my bookcases were and I'm going to move my bookcases against the wall where the desk was. I guess I better get going so I can finish that all up and get a decents night sleep.

Love to all!

Busy Week

I have had a busy week. On Sunday I went to church and hung out with David on Sunday. The preschoolers kept me busy. They are sweethearts and I love working with them!! David also met Steven.

Monday morning I went cycling. I'm not sure how far I rode mile wide because the trip computer on my bike is broken. I am guessing that it was about 25 miles. It was a nice ride. I rode with my dad and some of his cycling buddies. The only wildlife that I saw was a field mouse that ran right in front of our group and was hit by one of the cyclists about three bikes up from me. We went to the office for a few minutes in the afternoon. I can't remember what else I did in the afternoon. David came over for dinner, we went out for a bit, and also hung out for a while.

Yesterday, I had jury duty. It's all done now. All of the cases were resolved and they didn't need any jurors. There were a few people who were sent home to change because they were wearing shorts. It says right on the back of the summons no shorts! Oh well. There were also a few people wearing jeans, which isn't against the rules but I felt like it was disrespecting, especially if you were selected to appear before the judge. I brought my Bible with me to read. I happen to sit next to another believer. We were started talking because she saw me reading my Bible. I was able to share some Bible verses with her. I was excited about getting to share His word!

My mom just sent me this article about a juror who was assigned by a judge to write a five page paper and spending 4 days observing court cases (instead of sending him to jail) after he skipped out on jury duty. Then when the paper was read they discovered that this guy plagerized and the judge ordered him to spend an additional day in court and rewrite the 5 page paper.

Last night I had band pratice. We are playing for a 9/11 memorial. It's the same music that we play each year for it and most of it I played when I was in high school. I used to be a member of the community band but in the past few years I have had too much on my plate and had to drop a few things. I will still help them out when they need it. The flute section early and late in the season tends to be low because the snowbirds have either haven't come down or have already gone North. I was happy with my sound considering I haven't picked up my piccolo once since last year's memorial service and that was for the HS Alumni Band game and picked up my flute maybe once or twice just to play for a few minutes.

Tonight, my grandparents are coming in town and we are all going out to dinner. I'm not sure what else I'll be doing. I'll probably spend time with them before they head to the hotel for the night.

Tomorrow will probably consist of scrapbooking and preparing for Friday night's crop. I think for the crop I am going to work on my pictures from the November Mississippi trip and the layout that I have been working on recently for one of my other albums. I also am getting ready to print more pictures. I wasn't intending on printing some of these pictures quite yet but there are some new pictures that I want printed so I guess I'm going to go ahead and get those printed so I can get the new pictures printed to scrap them.

I am working on my blog and resetting it up, so once I get that taken care of I'll post some new pictures of the layouts that I have created recently.

I need to get going. Love to all!

New Pictures

Princess swatting and playing with
with a broken rubber band.

Despite what this picture looks like,
Steven, David, and I are NOT sleeping!
Yeah, Steven's a little more believeable
because he's holding Princess. :) My mom
caught me as I was blinking and David was
watching Steven and Princess.
That's it for right now. I just wanted to post the latest pictures. I pray that everything is going well for everyone! I'm off to do my Bible study before heading to bed. Love to all! - Jenn

Spoken For

Spoken For by Mercy Me

Take this world from me
I don't need it anymore
I am finally free
My heart is spoken for

Oh and I praise you
Oh and I worship you...

[CHORUS:]
Covered by your love divine
Child of the risen Lord
To hear you say "This one's mine"
My heart is spoken for

Now I have a peace
I've never known before
I find myself complete
My heart is spoken for

Oh and I praise you
Oh and I worship you...

[CHORUS:]
Covered by your love divine
Child of the risen Lord
To hear you say "This one's mine"
My heart is spoken for

By the power of the cross
You've taken what was lost
And made it fully yours
And I have been redeemed
By you that spoke to me
Now I am spoken for

[CHORUS:]
Covered by your love divine
Child of the risen Lord
To hear you say "This one's mine"
My heart is spoken for
[2X]

Take this world from me
Don't need it anymore...

Galatians 1:6-10 NASB

Galatians 1:6-10 NASB

I am amazed that you are so quickly deserting Him who called you by the grace of Christ, for a different gospel; which is really not another; only there are some who are disturbing you, and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so I say again now, if any man is preaching to you a gospel contrary to that which you received, let him be accursed. For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a bond-servant of Christ.

Steven's Home!

We picked up Steven at the airport tonight!! Actually last night now. :) He's home on leave.

I don't have much to write right now because I am tired and need to get sleep.

My love to all!

In Christ,

Jenn
